State Alumni? Obama wow posters 21 and 22 you guess must be the most boting people on earth.. Stewart is funny but has been getting alittle political hevay last 2 years would be better if he backed off that stuff more and did what he used to do…I have yet to see one line from the new cast members to draw a laugh.
Ted and I think your an idiot you should not have to think about something for it to be comedy. It should be instant and spontaneous as Reno was. If you have to sit analyze and break it down to get a laugh why not just shove the stick further up your ass and save the time?? And poster 22 most be a Reno writer as he thinks he is better then the working class people with that typical democrate I am better then everyone now give me stuff for me and screw everyone else attitude.
Thanks for voting for Obama and helping destroy america with your uneducated vote. I could not even finish watching the episode, because it was so poorly written and acted.
Nothing made me laugh. It only created disdain for a show that used to make me shed tears for laughter. Extremely disappointing is all I can add to the other comments that degrade the show that once upon a time was worth watching. Also, I am assuming that Ted must be one of the writers.
Nobody could possible consider this crap to be funny or witty unless he had a personal interest in the crap. Now, Ted, go wipe yourself.
And i gaurantee that a small google search will show you that on a much wider scale fans of this once hillarious show are hugely disappointed with the changes made! This show is still funny. There is still 4 good cast members. Dangle, Waggle, Jones, Junior. So 37prime, what really happened? This was my favorite show and they killed off 3 great characters without explanation?
What exactly was so complicated? Hi 37prime, yea really, what happend? We are dying to know who messed up our favorite comedy, killed off the best Deputies and turned Season 6 into just an awful pain to watch. What was the complication?????. You do get a sense the creators may have had some conflict with the Garcia character since he was hardly on in Season 5.
Possible jealousy or ego issues? Because it seems like Garcia was one of the most liked and popular. And Clemmie was the best. What a cool chick. She was hilarious in every scene. We needed more episode with those two funny people.
Well, I hope all three of the actors bumped from season 6 find better and more rewarding work to showcase their talents. And I really tried my best to give Season 6 a chance but it was just painful to watch.
Really, it is just dumb! There is no doubt that the Garcia character was popular. Some do say that Garcia outshines Dangle and Junior characters. Some fans complaint that they saw less Garcia on season 5. In the end, the creators of the show decided to make changes even though many thought such moves were dumb. By far they have the best chemistry on and off the set.
I have not seen much of Season 6. According to a cast member, a scene involving Deputy Jones paying tribute to his fallen partner Garcia did not make it in any episodes. Edit: Apparently it survived the edits, and featured in one of the episodes. I voted for Obama, and I love Stewart, yet I still think they really screwed the entire show over by getting rid of Garcia, Clementine, and Kimball.
Seriously grow up. Well put, What? I would have made the same suggestions myself if I could have stopped rolling my eyes at the moronic generalizations! Oh, and for the record, I miss Clemmy, Garcia and Kimball too. I never cracked a smile this whole season.
Bring back Garcia , Kimball and Clementine. To take the cast apart as was done is without a doubt the dumbest move that could be made.
Reno season 6 will NOT last just like Obama is toast after nah nah nah nah nah nah hey hey goodbye. It was always going to be over. They planned it like that. Go mow your lawn and have another Nati Light. This show was all about cast chemistry. While it may have been possible to add another character or two and still keep things funny, taking away three characters — two of whom had been there since the beginning — really left a gaping hole in the show.
The show is soooooo dumb now and the new guys are so not funny and i hate the fat guy he is never funny and he totally suck I miss the old cast they were so funny i hate the new cast member. TOTAL bummer without them there.
Hopefully I can get some sound bites for all Garcia fans. We really miss seeing Carlos on screen. His stand up tours just never make it to our area. Hopefully he can play the Washington DC area one day. And I really hope we get to see this funny guy on TV again. Does he have plans to return to TV??? Any acting bits coming up? I read the Reno cast is going to visit the troops.
Will that include all of them???? Keep up posted. Thanks 37Prime. Yes, the unofficial announcement is that the RENO ! I will certainly keep you all posted. Wendi will be visiting the Troops overseas. Ask your local Comedy Clubs for Carlos.
I will ask him if he had any plan to visit Washington DC are in the near future. I will be there to bring you some kind of behind the scene reports if possible. First they canceled Jon Dore, my favourite show, then they ruined Reno ! I think it would have been alright if they slowly added new characters and eventually killed off the 3, but right now this show has no chemistry, lacks any humor, and the timing is definitely off. If they wanted to have a show with smart humor make a completely different show…This way I would be happy and the retarded people that think the show is better would be happy.
The show is over. It ended. It was created and produced. We all watched it and enjoyed and loved it. It is over. Find a new show. Move on with your life and let go. Many times, when producers try to improve on an already good show, it results in failure. Never kill off a character either, you never know when they might be needed back.
Send them on a trip, a special mission in the case of these guys. Remember hysterically funny Dave Chappell? Ow ow ow ow ow! He had a catchphrase. So everything was always savable. I think the reason is because we sound very real. I think what they were always surprised by, not the sort of like foolery of Reno !
Everybody sounds kind of normal, and I think cops just love that. He just gives them this very sad sob story and reluctantly, Garcia and Jones go around a corner and decide, well, the only thing to do is to put the dog down. So they go back behind the garbage cans and shoot the dog. So just be careful who you believe when you pull up to a crime scene. GARANT: This shows you how we can over-think something and under-think something at the same time, [which] I think is sort of our craft.
We were going to do Reno ! We were really excited about being locked into the one casino and doing a bad action movie. Reno ! There have been some discussions. Netflix had asked about us doing it, but we never really investigated it that deeply.
I would be open to it at some point, the idea of revisiting them. Oh, we told you he was dead; that was a joke. We did like, a full in-character drug awareness and prevention seminar as us, and we fixed the Garcia-being-dead thing, and it was really really fun. It was a mistake. But certainly, I regret it in hindsight. I have some favorite episodes.
Brian Phelps from Mark and Brian did an episode where he played Gigg LeCarp, who was a reverend who came back to do a show from our jail. It was just crazy. Anytime you got to do a scene with Jim Rash was really wonderful. He just talked really funny. It became like a two-episode thing just because he was so weird and funny. He became our super villain.
Zach Galifianakis played a character named Frisbee. He lived in a school bus. He was basically like a David Koresh type character who had a little compound and some child brides, and we did a full scene with him where we pulled up to his weird bus with his child brides.
And he just shakes his head no, in the most suspicious way ever, and we walk back to the car. While it certainly made for interesting television in the short term, it wasn't a great decision to stand by into the future — even just in season 6 of Reno ! They couldn't have known at the time that a revival was in the cards ten years later, but missing a trio of key Reno Sheriff's Department members would have hurt the reboot tremendously.
The Reno ! T hose who left the show on season 5 — Carlos Alazraqui, Mary Birdsong, and Wendi McLendon-Covey — may have had an especially difficult time getting back into the groove of things; after all, taking ten years off from anything would prove challenging for a person to engage with at the same level they once had.
However, Lennon reassured TV Insider that there weren't any serious cobwebs to shake off before shooting the Reno ! As Lennon described it, it's as if embodying the characters came second nature to everyone.
It doesn't take a lot to slip back into these roles, as evidenced by the recent episodes on Quibi. Viewers have noted that the revival feels much like the Reno ! The cast, of course, doesn't miss a beat. One thing longtime Reno ! Back when the series was airing on Comedy Central, episodes were close to half an hour long.
With Reno ! While many might consider this a stressor, this limit has proven to be a blessing in disguise for the show.
